Because I like to live

life in motion

moving slowly at a fast pace

current destination:

Saludos from Central America!

I began the year in El Salvador, leading a Founders Retreat for a US- Based group of highly motivated individuals. We dove into local culture, adventures in nature, and some deep personal and business reflection and development work.

From there, I headed up across the border into Guatemala. I spent some time in the colonial city of Antigua, I slept on the side of a volcano on a two-day trek up Volcán Acatenango, I visited Lake Atitlan, and explored the jungle of Chicacao during my 2-week stay at.a regenerative farming homestead there, learning about permaculture design and cooking foods from the land.

Now, I am in Quetzaltenango, commonly known as Xela, for the next month to volunteer at a Mayan women’s weaving cooperative. I’m excited to get to know the city and culture here!

Lake Atitlan

Current obsessions:

• Sapote, a unique Guatemalan fruit that taste like sweet potato casserole.
• Walking in the sunshine
• Drinking Cacao
• Listening to Cumbia

Current 30-day challenge

Take salsa classes!

what's in this month's

health stack

Resistance Bands

When traveling, I'm able to take these bands with me and I'm convinced I can get a decent workout in no matter what circumstances I find myself in.

Eat Local

I know I'll be tempted to eat lots of the local sweet treats, but I push myself to choose healthy local options -- unique fruits and veggies, and dishes that will make my gut feel good.

Community

Working on building relationships with locals, expats, and other volunteers to get to know the area better, learn from them, and enjoy the community!
